Tanzanite is a very scarce gemstone. It comes almost exclusively from one mine in Northern Tanzania and the mine is close to being depleted. It was only recently discovered in the 1960’s and Chanel was the company that introduced it to the market through Tiffany . Up until then it was a not known because of its rarity. Being there is only one source for this gemstone and that it’s been minded to there being little left adds to it’s great value.

I mixed this Tanzanite with Imperial Kyanite so it’s a beautiful mix of periwinkle and deep blue.

The AAA quality Quartz is cut in an interesting way with a ‘seam’ down the center of the drop and step faceted radiating from the center.

This is a lot of info for a little pair of earrings but they are special.
