My feeling is this. When you think about a tiny grain of sand is an irritant for an oyster and as a result it spins it around and around until it’s a gem. I use that idea when things aren't going well and I need a reminder that all things have a time and place. What seems annoying now could be a lesson I need to learn with a gem for my efforts.

Pearls were passed down to me from my Mother, who’s side of the family had a true dedication to pearls., marking life events with a strand, a ring or a brooch. Birthdays, graduations, births, and marriages, You get the picture! We all had multiple strands as remembrances for life’s passages.
