The colored bands in Malachite is what makes the stone soooo special. The stronger the definition of those bands and brightness is what determines the value. The bail is sterling and I added a few tiny bright silver beads just above the bail. There are some very defined Malachite cubes and faceted black stones as well. Overall, the piece has some presence. The drop is good sized, and the bands overlap so the pattern makes the drop more interesting.

The stone comes from the Democratic Republic of Congo, Russia, Zambia, Australia, Namibia, and the southwestern United States in Arizona.

As a rule, green jewelry isn’t easy to find. IF it’s a color you wear or any earth tone this piece will get a lot of wear.
