These antique Pools of Light ‘balls’ were made popular during the Victorian era when Metaphysics reigned supreme. After many a dinner party it was common to have a medium channel a loved one who’d passed, tarot card readings, seances OR crystal ball gazing. It was very popular at the time and seemed to be a fashion mainly in England.

Someone had the bright idea of having little Crystal balls made into jewelry. If you had a necklace of them, little spots of light would create a hallow of light around your neck….hence, Pools of Light..
