This is a series of button blank necklaces and each one has it’s now personality. This is the story behind them.

’‘Once a upon a time 30 years ago I went to Indonesia to poke around and see what I might find to use in my work. I have a love for mother of pearl buttons and given the among of clothing being made from that part of the world there were good odds of finding button factories.

I talked my way into one of the factories and as I walked through the work shop I saw button blanks on the floor. What was left over after the button were drilled. I lost all interest in buying buttons and much to the owners surprise I asked to buy the blanks. I picked up as many as I could and left feeling like a dragon taking my treasure back to my lair.
