Amber! What an amazing stone. Sap dripping off trees a zillion years ago, frozen in time. It is fossilized tree resin and valued as a gemstone for its warm honeyed colors, organic inclusions, and natural origins. It ranges from pale yellow and deep orange to reddish-brown, and in rare cases appears green, blue, or nearly black. Unlike minerals, amber is lightweight, often warm to the touch, and may show a soft, glassy luster when polished.

The green amber on this hand knotted piece is front and center as it should be given it’s rarity. The clasp is a hand carved screw adding a finishing touch to what is a beautiful, warm and glowing in nature.
