I added little gold pyrite beads in a repeat pattern around the necklace with hand picked Opal stones. Often strands of Opals have a fair number of ‘dead’ beads, so I throw quite a few away making sure each bead I use has fire.

I discovered the reason Opals have fire is because there are little molecules of water within the stone that make rainbows when the light hits the bead. That’s where the fire comes in.

This measures approximately 18” long with a magnetic clasp.
